Purpose of this notice

This notice explains which personal data may be processed when World of Golf is visited or used. Personal data is information relating to an identified or identifiable person.

Hosting by Vercel

The website is delivered through Vercel. Technical connection and log data may be processed when a page is requested, including IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer, browser and device information, and error or security details. This is required to deliver, secure and maintain the website. Vercel Inc. and its subprocessors may process data in the United States and other countries under the applicable contractual safeguards.

Vercel Web Analytics

World of Golf uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand page use in aggregated form. According to Vercel, it processes page views, time, route, referrer, filtered query parameters, approximate location and browser, operating-system and device categories without setting analytics cookies. World of Golf currently uses no custom events or individual user profiles. See Vercel’s privacy documentation.

Question form

The question form has no website submission backend. When contact is enabled, it prepares a message in the user’s own email application. Data is transmitted only when the user sends that email. A question used later as a guide is published without the sender’s name, email address or other personal details.

Newsletter and Brevo

The newsletter is not connected and remains disabled. No newsletter data is sent to Brevo or another newsletter provider.

Cookies and local storage

World of Golf uses no first-party cookies in the published knowledge area. Vercel Web Analytics is described by Vercel as cookie-free. The shot-distance journal stores the clubs, distances, dates and optional notes entered by the user only in local browser storage. These entries are not sent to World of Golf, can be deleted inside the journal and are also removed when the relevant browser data is cleared. Additional advertising, profiling or analytics services are not currently used.

Retention and rights

Personal data is retained only for as long as its purpose or a legal obligation requires. Subject to applicable law, a person may request access, correction, deletion or release of their data and may withdraw consent for future processing. Requests should be sent to the responsible party above.

Security and updates

Appropriate technical and organisational measures are used to protect personal data. This notice must be updated whenever services or processing activities change.
